Data Security

When you save data on to your SecureDrives hard drive, the information is encrypted at the highest level of security with a 256BIT AES CBC key. This is set up when you first use the device and is completely random, ensuring no piece of software can hack through it. Access to the drive requires an 8-12-digit password and you can personally set the number of retries before the device destroys itself.

Data Destruction

In the event of data loss or theft, you can set your hard drive to self destruct based on a number of different parameters. Devices can be monitored by the Device Management Centre (DMC) using GSM for a location report if it is stolen. The DMC can also send an encrypted SMS to the device that sets of a chain reaction of events; the encryption key is changed, the partition table is re-written and the memory chips are shattered by rapid propagating shockwave technology. From this point on, the data is unrecoverable.
